Disclaimer: This interchangeable collar system requires a flathead screwdriver (not supplied) for backing exchange. With proper tooling, backing piece replacement can be completed in under two minutes. Important Information

Why BioThane?

Experience BioThane as it delivers unparalleled performance for canine adventurers, offering exceptional resilience against wear and environmental challenges. Its durability, waterproof makeup, easy to clean and weldable material, ensure that mud, grime, sand, and everyday activity will never effect its lifetime.

Cleaning, Care & Storage of BioThane

  1. Fill a bowl with mild soapy water (we recommend dish soap).
  2. Soak your BioThane dog collar for a few minutes.
  3. Wipe down with a sponge, soft towel, or magic eraser to remove dirt. For trickier stains, the light treatment of rubbing alcohol can be used.
  4. Rinse and towel dry.

After Beach Trips: Rinse your waterproof dog leash thoroughly—especially the hardware—with fresh water to prevent corrosion from salt exposure.

  • WARNING: Insect repellents may cause staining or pitting on TPU/PVC coated belts and leather products. Many insect repellents use DEET as an active ingredient which will pit/stain Polyurethane products.

STORAGE:

  • Beta colors should be displayed, stored or shipped without contacting other colors due to potential migration of one color to the other. Fluorescent colors are the most susceptible. We recommend that you don’t store different colored collars together or at least keep each products in plastic bags to prevent color transfer.
  • It is possible for certain colors, especially fluorescent colors, to transfer from the Beta rolls or finished products onto hair, skin or fabric. These colors are not hazardous and they should not present a health or safety hazard.  If color transfer happens, wash with soap and water. If irritation persists, get medical attention.

PFAF Collar Warranty

If the BioThane itself breaks for whatever reason, we will replace the collar at no cost to you. If the hardware such as a D Ring or the Quick Release/Buckle style closures break, we will replace the specific affected hardware at no cost to the customer.

The above excludes, but isn't limited to: if a dog chews on the BioThane or physically alters the collar in any way, or if the interchangeable hardware was not screwed on tightly or properly and the collar falls off or gets lost.

Policy & Lost Materials

Paws For A Future is not responsible for any lost material such as the Fi Series 3 Tracker or the Fi Series 3 Endlinks. It is up to the consumer to ensure all hardware is properly secured and maintained day to day.

WARNING:

Dog collars can pose a serious risk when left on unattended dogs. Accidents involving collars are more common than many pet owners realize and can result in severe injury—or even death.

The following hazards are known to occur when dogs wear collars without supervision:

  • A dog’s collar can become caught on crates, fences, furniture, or other objects, tightening around the neck and cutting off airflow. This can cause asphyxiation within minutes.
  • Dogs playing together may get their jaw or teeth caught in another dog’s collar, leading to panic, injury, or fatal choking.
  • Dogs attempting to climb or jump can become suspended by their collar, causing serious harm or death.

Mandatory Collar Removal When Unsupervised

To prevent accidents:

  • Remove collars from all dogs when crated, left alone, or unsupervised.
  • Never leave a collar on during playtime with other dogs unless under constant human supervision.

In Case of Emergency

If a collar-related incident occurs:

  • Remain calm.
  • Use scissors or a collar-cutting tool to remove the collar immediately.
  • Seek veterinary care if injury has occurred.
